As the center of Meridian, Ward 5 has unique opportunities to drive change. As your Councilman, I will prioritize projects that improve our streets, enhance abandoned public spaces, and attract small and big businesses, creating a welcoming and vibrant environment that reflects our community's pride and potential.

Collaborate with and establish neighborhood associations, local law enforcement, and community organizations to establish neighborhood watch programs, improve street lighting, and increase security measures in public spaces. Together, we can foster a safer Ward 5 by supporting initiatives that deter crime and empower residents to protect their community.

Ward 5 is home to young people who are eager to contribute to their community, but many feel the need to leave to find opportunities. By partnering with local schools and businesses, the city can develop programs to connect young talent directly with career opportunities in Meridian, from internships and apprenticeships to job placements.

Small businesses are the lifeblood of our local economy, especially here in Ward 5. I will advocate for accessible grants and support programs to empower residents to start and grow businesses locally. With business-friendly policies and targeted support, we can turn Ward 5 into a thriving hub of local innovation and entrepreneurial activity.
